A tribute to the 2010 tour

I would like to welcome you, and soy that I thank God that Lions of Africa is preparing for our upcoming 2010 tour. We have overcome all difficulties with tours in years past years past and have come out stronger than before. I have learned allot. There are many young artists preparing for this tour and are counting on me to make it successful. They need my help and experience to make their dreams come true.

In Senegal there are many young ones in dire poverty, homeless, begging on the street, and  in addition to this tour we plan to help some of them reach out for something better.  The 2010 tour will focus on helping those interested in preparing for a life in the musical arts field.  So by giving our time and money we can help build a life for some. The Lions of Africa 2010 tour will use 50% of the profits from this tour and from the sale of hats African Jewery Cds dvds clothing, T shirts, instumentsto Dance and percussion workshops oto pen a school for these young ones fulfill their dreams. We want to help these young ones have a choice rather than being led into a life of poverty, or being exploited in any way by criminals or extreme religious ideology such as radical Muslim extremism, which brings nothing good to mankind. (For example the young man from Nigeria that was brainwashed into trying to blow up the plane that was very upsetting to all the African nations)  As you may know Senegal is 90% Muslim but the people are well integrated with other religions and the people have a brotherhood so well that when on the street you cannot tell who is of one religion or another.

In the past I have made contact with celebrities and other known entities such as: Michael Jackson, The Claus Van Amberg Foundation (The Queen of Holland’s Deceased husband’s foundation), Opra, Princess Maxima of Holland, Bono, and Bob Geldolf, Madona, Brad Pitt and Anjela Joleen and Holland’s minister of welfare for their input and assistance regarding these endeavors. I am informing any entities or organizations of these matters that will make a difference in some lives. So as to get young ones interested in things that are upbuilding and good,  I have received subsidies from the City of Amsterdam to give cultural events in the neighborhoods for dance and percussion workshops.. And these are now  taking place.

Anything that is good and productive that will help these young ones have a positive outlook on life is needed desperately and will bring great benefits.
As the director of the Lions of Africa, I am going to give dance and percussion workshops in schools and other locations. And in doing so I am asking organizations, or anybody, to help Senegalese hospitals in several villages. There they need help to buy medicines, beds (and any other accommodations). Some children have no parents and are homeless or handicapped. There are, for example houses for blind children who live in a big room without electricity and to little food. The government of Senegal is doing everything it can to solve this problem but it is not enough. So we are asking the whole world to help us with this. We need any help. The Lions of Africa have decided, from the work and the money they get, that 50 % of their salary is going to these people. And the merchandise we are selling, that money will go directly to these hospitals. The money will be given to them personally by members of our

group.
After that we went to Spain. The Spanish people were also great people. They helped us a lot and were very nice. And we were able to give them a great performance. They were great and happy for us. We asked the audience for a minute of silence because young African people cross the ocean, risking their lives to get to Europe, via Spain.. The one minute silence was a big thing for the Spanish audience. For the public this was special because we were the first African performance group who would consider this matter, live with their audience.
